3 tips to hack your hangover
A throbbing headache, dizziness and dehydration, if you drink alcohol you may be familiar with the dreaded symptoms of a hangover.
With the Summer party season in full swing, knowing how to prevent a hangover can help to reduce the likelihood of that horrible morning-after feeling.
So, to help you recover through the summer, we’ve put together some hangover hacks which you might want to try out:
Stay hydrated
Many of the hangover symptoms you experience the morning after can be because of dehydration. So, staying hydrated can help to ease off the morning-after hangover. Consider alternating between alcoholic drinks and water and try and drink a glass of water before you go to bed.
Take it easy
This may seem a little obvious but one way to stave off a hangover is to drink less. Over the festive season we may be tempted to over indulge, this can apply to drinking alcohol as well as food. It can help to be mindful about the amount of alcohol that you’re drinking and consider drinking more slowly and taking it easy.
Eat something before drinking
Having food in the stomach can help to slow down the rate that alcohol is absorbed into the bloodstream, so can help to prevent a hangover. If you’re heading to a summer festival or party, you could consider eating something beforehand, so you don’t arrive on an empty stomach.
